Uneasy Aspen is a collaboration between a visual artist and a crochet artist, both of whom have uneasy and breezy attitudes toward life.

Early on, my sister and I learned the art of snark and how to balance it with broader strokes of comedy. How to weave the clever and cynical in with the obnoxious and offensive, and how to laugh at yourself, if you were in the same boat as some unworthy other.

We like to think that as we grew up, we kept the skills and dumped the baggage. Maybe we kept the mean streak, but its target is different. We're here to laugh at ourselves and invite you in on the joke. The world can feel dark. We want to help it feel brighter.

We like to say, "Well, we think it's funny." We hope you do, too.

Sister Meghan is a formally trained fine and graphics artist. Sister Rebecca has a smart mouth. We curate small-batch artisanal snark.

There are no real photos of us together because, as mothers, it is our responsibility to take all the photos. No one takes photos of us.
